I would like to say a big thank you to all those loyal members that have already got on board the Westcliff Rugby Club ” metaphorical bus ” .
Due to the RFU reducing the funding for clubs in level 4, along with the estimated increased travelling and additional admin costs, and mandatory new equipment requirements at this level for match day recording of games for the 1st XV, this is expected to exceed £20,000 alone.
So far over 50 members have bought a “seat” donation for £100 , with many more buying more than 1 seat.
As you know we have reached National League Level for the first time in our club’s history of rugby, on an amateur basis and in the main by promoting our own and continuing to invest in our own youth system.
We continue to be “one club one family” and the effort shown from the membership so far for this initiative clearly shows this.
