Notices of recent bereavements: Dave Latham, Denny Bridge, and Ray Scudder

It is with great sadness to to inform you of the passing of Dave Latham, Denny Bridge, and Ray Scudder

  • Dave Latham – 1st XV stalwart second row for several years during the seventies, died suddenly in France last week.   Dave was a regular supporter of the Dick Smith lunches, attending most recently in March of this year.  Funeral details to be announced.
  • Denny Bridge – A few months ago in South Africa, where he had resided for many years.  Former 1st XV captain in the mid-fifties, when the side enjoyed two very good seasons, losing only four matches out of thirty-three in 1956-7, when Denny was leading try scorer. A very long-standing Vice-President although visits back to England became few and far between.
  • Ray Scudder – A gifted WHSB athlete and regular 1st XV player in Jim Harrison’s successful side of 1957-8, before moving to Surrey. Ray died in the late Spring.
