OUR AIM IS TO HAVE MORE PEOPLE DOING LESS WORK As with any private sports club, we rely on volunteers from the range of our membership for a myriad of administration back-up jobs. Luckily you do not have to play rugby or know anything about it to be involved.
The Club operates via dedicated Sub-Committees and if you want to help, there is a position for you to do something, somewhere.
If we ignore rugby for a mini-second, WRFC trades and is registered as a Limited Company with all the responsibilities that involves. Therefore we need book-keepers, secretaries and people to promote the Clubhouse and our business.
Coaches and team managers and rugby support staff are in addition.
The Directors are elected at the AGM to the Executive Committee who are responsible for the efficient management of the Club. They can co-opt other members to the Exec.
The main sub-Committees are Senior Rugby and Youth Rugby. We also need a Clubhouse Committee to manage and promote the Clubhouse. It’s mainly down to Len and Chris Radley at present. But we need more people involved and to look long- term via the Club Plan.
Your enthusiasm and talents will be welcomed.
If you have a particular expertise or talent and have some time to give, we would like to hear from you. As a hobby, it’s better than collecting stamps (but only just).
The majority of positions are ‘Honorary’ which means unpaid. Some like Bar Staff receive the modest minimum wage.

Thank you!
